Democracy and Good Governance Policy Research Sector
This sector aims to identify issues related to democracy and good governance research and studies at the regional level, establish policies, strategies, and frameworks for the field while differentiating key research issues, develop new policies, strategies, and frameworks associated with democratic and good governance institutions of the government, present key research issues that would enable the identification of new knowledge in democracy and good governance research and studies, and integrate policies and programs that can address challenges for the improvement and enhancement of existing policies and programs. It also includes benchmarking beneficial practices from other countries, engaging in scientific policy research and publication, reforming the institutional framework for democracy and good governance and implementing supportive activities for the research and study sector.
This sector is organized into three research and study units to effectively implement the provided mandate in a systematic and result-oriented manner. Each research unit has a junior researcher, assistant researcher, senior researcher and chief researcher, indicating various levels of specialization among the professionals leading the units.
